Work Hours

Normal office business hours for the building are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Any work that disturbs the quiet enjoyment of tenants, including, but not limited to, hammering, welding, cutting, coring, x-raying, use of volatile materials or the operation of power actuated fastening devices, or penetrations into the concrete, (including hangers for ceiling grid, ductwork, etc.) must be performed between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on weekdays (excluding holidays) with prior notification to Management. All core drilling/cutting through the concrete decks, floor slabs must be previously approved in writing by a structural engineer. The structural engineer must be able to prove he is licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and also provide a certificate of insurance in the same amounts as the general contractor. Requests made to Management to x-ray and core drill must be made at least 48 hours in advance and shall be made in writing.  

All fire alarm pre-testing must be performed prior to 8:00 a.m. or after 6:00 p.m. on weekdays (excluding holidays) if any audible alarms are to be activated. Pre-testing must occur at least 48 hours prior to final inspection to allow Owner to make any repairs that may be necessary if the work is deemed to be the responsibility of the Owner which shall be decided by Management, in its sole discretion.   

Engineer normal work hours are 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  All after-hours work requires an engineer onsite at the cost of the contractor.
